2015 Forum
The Center for Children and Families presented our sixth annual forum on “Empowering Children and Parents Together: The Promise of Two-Generation Programs” on Friday, Sept. 25 at The University of Texas at Dallas. The keynote speaker was P. Lindsay Chase-Lansdale, PhD, Frances Willard Professor of human development and social policy at the School of Education and Social Policy, faculty fellow at the Institute for Policy Research, and associate provost for faculty at Northwestern University. Dr. Chase-Lansdale is an expert on the interface between social policy and research. Her research focuses on social issues and how they affect families and the development of children and youth. Her most recent research has been on two-generation educational interventions for low-income parents and young children. She is an inaugural fellow at Ascend, a policy program of the Aspen Institute that takes a two-generation approach.
Forum support provided by: United Way of Metropolitan Dallas and the Jerry M. Lewis, MD, Mental Health Research Foundation.
