Adriana earned her B.S. in Psychology from the University of San Buenaventura in Medellin, Colombia. She received her Masters degree in Counseling at Southern Methodist University (SMU). A native of Medellin, Colombia, Adriana is fluent in Spanish and English and offers consultations in both languages. She began her work in Dallas as a parent educator for Avance and taught parenting skills to Spanish-speaking immigrants.
Adriana started working for the University of Texas at Dallas in 2009 as a research assistant for Dr. Margaret Owen's Self Regulation and School Readiness study. In July of 2011, she joined the Center for Children and Families as part of the Play With Me program team. She loves working with students and seeing them develop skills and gain confidence in working with children and parents.
