Adriana earned her B.S. in Psychology from the University of San Buenaventura in Medellin, Colombia. She is currently working on her Masters degree in Counseling at Southern Methodist University (SMU). A native of Medellin, Colombia, Adriana is fluent in Spanish and English and offers consultations in both languages. She began her work in Dallas as a parent educator for Avance and taught parenting skills to Spanish-speaking parents.
Adriana started working for the University of Texas at Dallas in 2009 as a research assistant for Dr. Margaret Owen's Self Regulation and School Readiness study. In July of 2011 she joined the Center for Children and Families as part of the Juega Conmigo team of the Infant Development Program, and in February of 2012 she took the role of Community Liaison Specialist for the Resource and Referral Program.
