What is a developmental screening? A screening is a short developmental test designed to identify children who may have developmental delays and are in need of further evaluation. Screenings assess children’s communication, fine motor, gross motor, problem-solving, personal-social, and social-emotional skills. CCF developmental specialists assess children using standardized Ages & Stages questionnaires (ASQ-3 and ASQ:SE-2).
